The Forester Watch offers a quick-drying nylon band accented by leather detailing where it joins to the resin-and-stainless-steel case with a sturdy screw-down bezel. A date window at the three o'clock position adds to this nature-ready water-resistant watch. This watch has a weakness you should know about. The arms that have the pin holes that hold the watchband pins in place are made of PLASTIC, not metal. After just two weeks of GENTLE wear, one of these arms cracked off completely. I was just sitting at my desk at work and PLOP! the watch fell completely out of my sleeve and onto my desk.

I don't mean the pin just came out of the hole, I mean the ENTIRE arm which contains the pin hole broke off. Take a close look at those four light green arms on each side of the leather watchband. Those are plastic--brittle plastic.

Obviously this part of any wristwatch is subject to some stress, and should be made of metal. Not this one.


I wanted a lightweight, comfortable, inexpensive watch that could be seen in the dark if necessary and was analog. This is my watch of choice for my 500 mile hike. I also use it when fishing and don't worry if it gets wet. It's unique style is a definate plus.


The band was, to me, unusable. And, I was unable to cancel this transaction ten minutes after making the order, thus had to send it back after it got here.


Throw 20 bucks at this watch!! To get the total over $25 and get free shipping, just get an S/D card, trickle charger, or coffee grinder in the same order. The watch is somewhat disposable, but I like it too much to even think about it. Also, take a look at the Timex that Amazon has going for $28. I don't care, cause I already got mine. BL


Watch is just what my husband was looking for. Great look, easy to read and set, and the right price.


I bought this watch for my boyfriend. He wanted an inexpensive watch to wear for work. He did not want a metal expansion band nor a leather band. This watch was PERFECT. It has a Velcro closing. He is very pleased with the watch & I was pleased with the price.

The watch is comfortable and looks better than in the picture. It is the perfect watch to wear when it might be damaged but you still want something that stills looks good. I do alot of shop work but deal with customers at times when working in the shop and I feel this watch fits the billfor this. And price is right and keeps good time.


I like the watch even though the case is obviously plastic except for the backing plate. The bigger issue is the band. I like the colors of the band as depicted in the picture, (khaki strap with brown leather accents). But because it is an adjustable velcro fastener, there is a strip of black velcro sewn over the entire length of the weaved khaki strap on one side so half of the watchband (the half that I always see when I wear it) is a piece of black velcro loops. You can just barely see it at the bottom of the picture. I do like the very readable face and the backlit feature is handy in the dark. OK overall but I'll be looking for a better band.


It's light and suitable for wrist. But the window and case is so easily be scratched.
