This is a very nice looking watch. I needed something dressy and waterproof. This watch so far has been what I needed. I have one complaint and that is the dials on the face are hard to read and require more than a glance to get what information I need. The date for example. The hour hands also could be more distinct. The blend into the face to well for a casual glance to read. So I can't give this watch full ratings for simple issues like what the watch was made for.

This is not a fancy watch, but it is functional and looks nice. It is a good watch to wear to work every day. The information shown on the inside is not easy to read and the latch mechanism is strong, but has a gap that depending on your type of work, might get you caught on something.

Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

I received the watch as promised - however a week after I received the watch, I noticed that it was being offered $49.95 ! This was almost $20.00 less than what I had paid ! This does leave a rather sour taste !

The small dials, I found were too small to read easily.

It is a good looking watch and keeps good time. At $49.00 it is a good buy.

I had gotten my husband a water resistant watch and paid a lot more money than I did for this watch. It was not water reistant and fell apart. This watch is water resistant, but he dislikes the large metal clasp on the back, and would prefer that the band not have this.

Love the watch . Nice looking , easy to use if you can understand the instructions which should be read very carefully and BE VERY CAREFUL TO READ COMPLETELY . The wrist band is easy to adjust if you go and buy the pin remover as advertised on Amazon ($9.00 or less)and go to Casio watch tech. support to understand how to do it . Wrist band adjustment should be put in with instructions with watch and show an illustration and one bad part that one customer wrote was the monthly adjustment ? We'll she was correct in that every month with less than 31 DAYS DOES NEED TO BE ADJUSTED ! It's not to difficult to do though . All-IN-All a good watch at a great price .

Bought this watch in July of 2008. Very macho looking! A real eye catcher! I liked it's dual analog/digital functionality for jogging, hiking, and limited water resistence for the pool. The crown is not a screw down type (more later on that) so I won't recommend it for scuba diving. The band is very comfortable and the analog dial is easy to read in low lighting. It kept good time. About(+/-) 5 seconds per month. Now the bad. About 3 months after purchasing it I noticed that the analog time was way off but the digital time was correct. At first I thought maybe the battery was running low but when I happened to push in the crown after resetting the time the second hand stopped moving. I pressed on the crown again and it stopped again. I pressed a bit harder and the second hand completely stopped. Also the bidirectional rotating bezel was too loose for my liking and would move out position too easily. This appears to be due to poor machining (ie; "Made In China"). It is not the clicking type of bezel on many diving watches. I don't mind it not having a backlight but the alarm is quite low and can easily be missed while listening to any thing at a moderate sound level. It does not have a digital countdown feature which would be nice.

Since it was still under it's 1 year warranty I called Casio's repair center in New Jersey and they were very helpful in explaining how to return it. The customer must pay shipping to Casio. They pay the return shipping. Unfortunately, they could not replace this watch with the exact replacement and sent me a new model AMW320RD-2AV. It's the one with the dark blue dial instead of the black one. I actually like this blue one as much or more. It appears almost black at certain angles and lighting but dark blue when viewed directly. The alarm sounds a bit louder and the bezel is tighter. So in summary I gave it a three star rating because of the defects in quality and reliability. I would have rated it lower but my compliments to CASIO on excellent customer service. The turn around time for replacement only took two weeks using UPS ground shipping. Hope this is helpful and my experience was rare and not common with this model.


Love it. Another great product from Casio. Only one thing - it's assembled in China. Hope it will not affect quality...

Compared to some of the Citizen Dive watches, the look, feel, and price of the CASIO is the way to go. Glad I didnt spend anymore money on a Sieko or Citizen....


I received this watch as a gift from my wife. I initially turned my nose up because it was a Casio. I am not a huge watch snob, but I am used to paying several hundred for a watch, and the Casio name does not hold much appeal to me.
I am a daily watch wearer, and I figured that it would start falling apart and get scratched almost immediately. Especially the rubber band, which I usually don't like. It's been over six months now of constant use, and the watch and band still look like they did on day one! Plus, the time stays accurate.
I am very impressed. Style, Durability, and Accuracy. There is not much more that you can ask out of a sub $100 watch.

This watch is tight. I got it from my grandpa for Christmas. At first I was kind of disapointed because I never wear watches. But as soon as I put it on, I became a watch wearing kind of guy.

I have had this for a few months now. GREAT Watch. I think it looks great and have gotten a number of complements on it. You can wear this with anything from formal dress to sports attire. It's one of those all occasion watches that matches everything seamlessly. I found this watch for $55 on sale at a local retailer - unbelievable value for the money.

The glow in the dark dials are visible for 60+ minutes after being charged.

I think this watch looks better in person than in the pages. I saw it in the display case and when I put it on, it looked great - had to buy it. Buying online sucks because you really don't know how it's going to look/feel on your wrist. If you wear black or gray clothes, it matches so well that people will think you bought the watch to go with the outfit.

Band is good - holds the watch in place without having it too tight.


Purchased this one to use as a beater watch for working out. Looks good online and keeps good time but looks kind of cheap in person. I would suggest spending a few more dollars for a G-Shock as these seem to be more attractive watches.

Watch is put together rather well, being that I use it for a work watch it hold up does the job.


I have had a Casio watch for about a year and now the watchband needs replaced. I was informed by Walmart that they cannot replace a Casio watchband. I called Casio and they told me that as far as they know NO CASIO WATCHBAND CAN BE REPLACED BY A NORMAL WATCHBAND! I had to order a watchband from Casio and they had to know which model it was before I ordered it. Total price: $12.00 shipping, handling and sales tax included. I then asked the representative if instructions would be included because it was a different type of setup instead of pins. HE SAID THAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO RECOMMEND TAKING THE BAND TO A JEWELER TO HAVE IT PUT ON!! PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS AS BANDS DO NOT LAST FOREVER!!


I previously had the AMW330-7AV white faced model Casio which had smoother bezel movement than this black faced one. However just going by looks the black faced one looks a little better in my opinion. It tells time very accurately. If you want a relatively nice looking watch that you don't care too much if it gets banged up with daily use then this Casio may fit your needs.


For such a price I think Casio did well,it really looks like an expensive watch.I have no idea if the glass scratches easily or not,as mentioned in the previous review...If you like big watches like me,this model will be the right choice.I uploaded 3 pictures that are quite different from the advertised one,you will notice how nice it's looking on the hand.
The only thing I know is that I'm enjoying wearing it,and I'm planning to buy a second one for a friend.


I saw this watch at Target and found it online for $20 less. When I received the watch everything was great, it came well packaged and was in perfect condition. One thing I noticed is that the bezel moves in both directions which with a true dive watch it only moves in one but I realized it was only a dive style watch and not meant for diving so I forgave that. The real problem came the second time I wore it and I must have bumped it against something and the glass got a decent scratch in it. I didn't even realize that I had run into anything so I couldn't have hit it very hard and in my opinion it scratched far too easily. I realize that it's not the most expensive watch but it's certainly not the cheapest either and I would expect a build quality that would resist at least daily wear and tear. I've had the watch for a month and have only worn it a few times but every time I look at the face I see the scratch and it bothers me.

i had one of these watches before and went thru three bands as normal and then lost it and was happy to find it online at amazon.com so i bought it. works great for me.


This is a very nice watch for the money.

Pros
The high contrast face is easy to read at a glance.
The watch has a nice solid feel.
Rotating bezel.
Alarm, date, stopwatch.
Simple, classic look with modern features.

Cons:
No light.
The bezel moves a little too easily, it should be a little stiffer.

I was looking at moderately priced dive watches from Invicta, Citizen and Seiko. The problem with these sort of watches, which really irritates me, is the lack of a real date function. I don't consider a counter which goes to 31 acceptable. Paying more than a hundred dollars for a watch that needs resetting every month or so is ridiculous. Many watch manufacturers have been lazy for decades, putting out the same ancient design with some cosmetic changes. This Casio is a great mixture of the classic with the modern. To get a watch from the "better" companies with these features costs at least four times as much. And will they last four times as long? Unlikely.


This watch is tried and true. It is beautiful, functional, and sturdy. The back-issue is inconvenient but not a deal breaker. I've been wanting this watch for years but have waited to the cost was better. Wal-Mart is $68 plus tax, this is a good price as the watch was $78 just a few months ago. I recommend this watch.


This watch exceeds my expectations, the idle size, weight, design & features. I feel great with this on my wrist .


This was a Christmas gift for my husband. He never takes it off, it is a very beautiful watch.


I have had the Gold Faced version for over 2 years and bought at the same time the white one for my son. I find the Gold face makes it elegant enough for the work place and functional enough for my active outdoor life. After 2 years the glass is still scratch free. After about a year I popped the band that holds down the strap (the side that doesn't have the buckle). But I don't think this was a manufacturing defect. I replaced the complete watchband for $20 which would be considered high seeing that I paid $55 for the watch. My watch is worn 24/7 and keeps time excellent. I haven't had to change the battery yet - 2 years later. This is the best value Dive watch out there. When this one dies, I'll get another.


I just got this watch and as others have stated it would be nearly perfect if it had an indiglo, but for my needs the hands glow well enough to get by in the dark. One note...I actually bought mine at [...]. They started selling them just a few days ago. Mine actually has the dark blue face which I've not found anywhere else.


A nice robust watch to wear every day.
This watch is rated 100m water resistant. Although the manual does not recommend scuba diving unless the watch is rated 200 or 300m, I have been scuba diving with this watch multiple times with no problems.
The luminescence is strong and very readable at night.


This is my third Casio Divers Watch over the past 20+ years and what I use a watch for, it's simply the best....


I'm on my second one of these (the first was still working fine - but the face was quite scratched after 8 years). Great watch - but the band will crack after 8-9 months - and no discount stores carry the right bands - I have to go to a watch repair store and pay $15 for a new band each time.
