"Casio watch" 2008-09-15
By D. Niedermeyer (Miami, FL)
I am very pleased with this product. I picked it for my son because it has many alarms. After I received it, my husband showed me his watch and it was the same exact one!

"As Promised But Face Is Hard To Read" 2007-08-23
By Coalminer (Dayton, Ohio)
The watch is a good value and all the features are as promised. However, the green face makes the watch quite hard to read; you cannot simply glance at the watch. I am older, and don't have the best eyes, either. I wore the watch for a few days hoping that I would get used to it, but to no avail.

"The Watchman Cometh" 2007-01-17
By Janet L. Smith
Hubby wanted a watch just like the defunct Casio he already had. I looked and looked and Christmas was coming... That watch was history (as commercial merchandise...) So, starting over I found this one, it was a perfect watch. Excellent style and design with practical features but not too intimidating for the technologically challenged. Comes with an excellent instruction booklet in five languages anyway! I was pleased with the entire purchase process and the product itself. Christmas rush notwithstanding, it got here in time to sit under the tree. Package was well wrapped and secure! I recommend the product, the seller and the price point. An excellent product and good value. I like the fact that the resin band can be 'changed out' if desired... Would order again from the seller! Minor negative point worth mentioning--seller neglected to include a picture of the item, so my purchase was blind, but based on description, it was somewhat less a dubious choice. Why not include a picture? How hard is that!

"Great features it's just not the most acurate watch" 2007-01-10
By Peter W. Brown
Its hard to find a watch w/ the features this one has but it just doesn't keep the best time.

"Great Watch" 2006-11-12
By Margaret Flick (Windermere, Florida United States)
I bought this watch as a replacement for my husband. I had a hard time finding one with the same features, but then found this one. The two features that make this the best for him is the five individual alarm settings and the light. We've never had a problem with a Casio.

I have used Casio Data Bank watches for years and love them. Not only do they keep good time they have so many other features that there is "a lot of bang for the buck". I especially like the data bank feature so I can keep phone numbers, bank account numbers, etc. for easy access. That way that information is always with me. The only thing I don't like abbout this particular model is that the AM/PM-24 hour button is too exposed. I prefer the AM/PM mode and quite often it is in the 24 hour mode because I accidentally touch the button. The other thing about all of the plastic Casio watches is the plastic part where the strap attaches will sooner or later break. I always buy a couple of extra watches to have on hand.

I had bought the older model DB36-1AV 7 years ago only to find that the buttons on the side was inconvenient for me. This watch has the buttons on the front which eliminated my wrist from unintentionally pushing the buttons. It has 5 alarms, 30 page data bank, stop watch, count down timer, dual time, daylight savings, auto light-on with a flick of the wrist (can be turned on/off), 50M water resist, and 10 year battery. I have an older 10 Year battery Casio which is 7 years old and it's still running on the same battery, original band still intact, wore everyday. This watch is one of the most rugged watches that I've ever owned.

We didn't own this watch a month before the watch strap broke off the watch body. Just like about 6 other Casio watches we've owned. No way to repair since it was part of the watch body that snapped off. Will never buy another Casio.

I have a few watches either batteries are dead or broken. So I figure out that the battery must be last long in order to having a lasting watch. This watch has 10 years battery life fits my need. In addition, the back cap can be opened easily using a small screw driver. You can change the battery yourself if you are handy. BTY, this watch does not have the problem of accidental press reported by other users of different models since all buttons are on the top.

Some years back I bought two Casio watches with 5 alarms and 30 line data storage for tel numbers. Since they have served long and active lives and finally succumbed to mechanical damage and scratched lenses I've been looking for a replacement. The Casio DB-37H is what I've been looking for; the Wal-Marts and K-Marts don't have them. Amazon not only had them but had a very reasonable price and free shipping! Naturally, I bought two of them!

Quartz movement powers this unique timepiece, which is water resistant to 165 feet.

I have this watch for more than a year and i think it is really worth for its price...simple and super...
I would recommend this to everyone!
Vj

I am on here to get another casio world time watch after having the one reviewed this page for a whole battery life. I would guess it lasted about 6 years. Pretty ok.
It kept good time, very gradually gaining a coulple of seconds, so no complaints there.
As with all of these watches, the "crystal" is very soft and scratches very easily. Mine has several deep gouges.
My complaint is that the background hands do not contrast enough with the face, making them difficult to read. If the time zone stuff is laid over the top, they mostly can't be seen. Having a digitized map of the world on the face may look cool, but it is not good for much and I could do without it. Just the city and digital time would be enough.
And, as everyone says, the watch functions are difficult to set and difficult to remember. Every year when going back and forth from daylight savings to standard, I just push the buttons until I finally make it happen.
I will be getting another Casio. For the money you can't beat it. I am often in airplanes where cell phones can't be used to tell time, so just the phone time doesn't work for me, though the phone clock is great in other time zones on the ground as it always displays the local time zone.

From the web site photos and specs, I thought this watch was a decent watch. Upon arrival, it's clearly a discount looking material and design. Online, the gray parts look metal, but in reality the watch is all plastic and the gray dial is a "painted coating." Entering data is tedious and time consuming, and display of that info is very poor. I use it for timing my swimming/running since it is light weight and has Indiglo. However, I don't wear it to work or formal as it's too cheap and plastic looking. Casio has much better looking watches than this one. For a few dollars more, I could have bought a much nicer watch with timer and backlighting, and a "REAL" METAL FACEPLATE/DIAL!

This is one of the best watches I have. The two best features of this watch are 1. world time 2. data bank (you can store upto 30 telephone numbers).
Also, the backlight is excellent and the dial is very clearly visible at night too.
I would recommend this watch and the seller as well. The item looks exactly like in the picture and was very nicely packed.

nice watch, this one will be my second, 1st one i been has a 10 yrs. in that time coast me $80.00

This is really worth it...
very nice one... simple and super...
User manual is not much detailed one...

Its a good watch. Would prefer if they had the calender instead f the world map. But other than that everything with the watch is great.

i just got this watch and i like it.
i wanted to get this like 4-5 ago but went for timex but finally back to the one i really wanted. the features are kool.
setting all the features was pretty easy after reading from the manual. the only drawback tha i see is its little thick, could have been thin then deserver 5 stars.
i like lot of stuff on the watches like gizmo stuff and this ones fits into my category :)

Firstly let me say what a wonderful watch this is. As others have mentioned you can just keep wearing it wherever, at work, at the gym and for a Muslim like me who has to wash his hands, arms etc 5 times a day before praying, I can still keep the watch on as its water resistant.
Its a perfectly smart watch, I normally just use the analogue display. In the gym however I also use the stopwatch to time myself between sets.
Ah, the minor flaw I hear you ask. Well, not sure if its the same for all of them, but my watch turned up (ordered it online, as I'm from UK) with goldish coloured minute/hour/second hands. This basically meant visibility was not very good especially when outside in the sun, you have to look at the watch for several seconds to work out the time. Me being impatient? Perhaps, but consider this drawback whilst driving where you just want a quick one second glance for the time.
Anyway, I took the watch to my local watch dealer and he somehow painted the hands with some black ink for only a couple of quid. He told me afterwards 'not many watch dealers would do this!'.
So now I have the perfect watch which I'm perfectly happy with :)

The Casio Twincept Series is one of the best things that has ever happend to the watch's industry's customers.<br>I have the twincept ABX-53 for 7 years by now, and I have never thought about replacing or anything like that.<br>Unfortunately, like VolksWagen's Beetle, it's too good to be kept selling over.<br>So take that chance, and enjoy life!

The perfect accessory for tech-savvy professionals, the
casio Men's Databank Watch #DB37HD-7AV features a digital gray dial face with a sturdy mineral dial window. A day-date-and-month calendar display offers at-a-glance convenience Other innovative details include a 39-page databank and a 13-language display. Both the stationary bezel and matching 42-millimeter case are made of high-quality stainless steel. A silver-tone stainless steel band adds a sleek look and comes accompanied by a durable fold-over-clasp with a double push-button safety closure. Bringing the ease of technology to your fast-paced lifestyle, this stunning timepiece is soon to become your favorite. Powered by quartz movement, this watch is water resistant to 50 meters.

I have to buy another casio because this one's case isn't metal and finally the pin holding the strap broke through the plastic pin-holder (probably my fault). i won't buy another DB-37h mainly because i sometimes inadvertently press and hold the 12/24H button (for example, while sleeping), which causes the watch to change to DST (which is indicated by a small DST sign) and the time increases by 1 hour. so, occasionally, one goes to events 1 hour early (I guess it's better than getting there one hour late). What idiot thought of this - it totally ruins the watch - all you need for this to happen once.

I have had several Databank watches in the past; this is the first without a calculator. With cell phones and all their functions, I find the phone number storage and calcultator features no longer necessary. I did, however, want a watch with a stopwatch and countdown timer, and this watch fills the bill perfectly. The case and finish are very nice and the buttons are solid. The databank feature allows you to store names and phone numbers but I don't recommend this watch if you need that feature. Without a full keypad, data entry is an arduous task. If the display light was bright, blue, and even like the previous model I owned, I would give this watch 5 stars. This light is more of a green color and obviously eminates from the lower left corner of the display. The lighted display is still legible, it's just not as nice as I'd hoped. That being said, for the price, this watch can't be beat!

Functionally this watch is great.
However, it does not have a stainless steel case as advertised. It is plastic. My son had it for two weeks when it broke. He did a handstand. The Metal band did not give but the plastic did. The pins that hold the band to the watch, ripped out through the plastic on both sides of the watch. It really is not a good idea to put a metal band on a plastic watch. If you are a couch potato, this watch will work for you. If you are active, either buy a different watch or put a more flexible band on it.

Casio Databank watches, since they first appeared decades ago, have decreased in quality while increasing in case variation. All recent Casio Databank watches are prone to have their memory erased by static electricity. My previous one lost the databank function altogether.
Most models have a backlight that will seriously decrease battery life but at least it is harder to turn on the light by accident with this model.
The biggest problem is that the wristband is not adjustable. There is a way to remove links from the wristband to make it the proper size, but special tools are needed to do this easily. I may just replace the wristband with the one from my previous model.

This is the third Casio Databank watch I have owned - and I think it will be the preferred one. I found it easy to enter and/or edit names and phone numbers. I miss the appointment feature that is offered on one of the previous models I owned. I also like the large readout - an excellent choice.

Great watch, looks great, impressive service (arrived in 2 days), great price. It replaced a similar Casio databank watch with a plastic band (replaced several times) that I'd had for about 15 years, that finally gave up the ghost on the second battery change. The instructions with the new watch did not show how to adjust the links in the metal watch band, but I found instructions on the internet which made it quite easy and straightfoward. I expect this one to last longer than 15 years, and I won't have to buy replacement bands.

My watch was received with a scratch on the dial lens that was apparently done at the factory, as the dial lens protective covering was firmly attached. I brought this to the attention of Chelsea Watch via an email I sent on a Sunday. My email was answered the same day (Sunday) and I was informed that my watch would be replaced immediately, sight unseen. Count (on 1 finger) how many online vendors would do that for their customers. The first day the post office was back to work my replacement watch was in the mail, sent priority mail!! With the best Watches and prices online, plus unequaled customer service, I defy anyone to find a better supplier anywhere on the internet. I can't recommend them highly enough to give them the recognition they deserve. They are the greatest!!!

Owned 2 Data Bank 150 watches over the years, and just had great service from them. I found that I don't need that many phone numbers and do not need the calculator. Just love the DB37HD-7AV and the metal strap is quite an improvement over the plastic straps on the DB150.

This watch is awesome. Easily programed and so many functions.
The really neat function is automatic light-on when you bring the watch up to look at it. No need to press a light button in low lighted situations.
I recommend this watch to anyone who wants easy to see digital numbers with ability to save important information.
Very nice size and design. Totally Functional but nice looking too.

Product Description
Featuring a 50-page databank along with a precise digital time display, this
casio watch makes it easy to keep important information within reach. The databank stores eight letters and 12 numerals per page to manage a busy schedule, while the world time capability allows you stay punctual no matter where you are in the world. This
casio timepiece also features a date-and-month display, a daily alarm, an hourly time signal, a countdown timer, an eight-digit calculator, and a micro light for convenience. Powered by quartz movement, this unique
casio design is constructed with durable black resin and comes equipped with a two-year battery.

This new watch is a replacement for the same type of watch that I own. Casio no longer makes or sells this watch. I had lost all hope for this replacement which is basically simular to a watch I owned for the last 20 years. The new models are a sorry design by Casio and is not acceptable for sale to the public. Thank goodness Amazon is around to maintain a stock of old watches for sale. The unit arrived quickly in new condition, and has been in perfect working order since I received it a month ago.

I bought this watch about 3 years ago and haven't taken it off my wrist. I shower in it, swim in it, etc. It's still going strong. I figured I'd only get a year or so of wear out of it, but not the case.

This watch is very similar to a watch I received for Christmas when I was only 12 years old (way back in 1989.) I broke that watch due to my own carelessness and recently bought this model from Amazon just to relive the good old days of the Casio Databank calculator watch. I had forgotten how useful this watch is. I hate carrying my cell phone, so this watch is great for storing the numbers that I have a hard time remembering. I also have a knack for forgetting appointments, lunch dates, etc, so the scheduler built in to this watch is awesome! The little calendar at the top of the screen displays which days you have appointments on, and then a unique alarm (different in sound from the normal alarm) goes off at a time of your choosing to remind you of your appointment. So for instance if you have a lunch appointment on Wednesday with Bob, you would just program it into the watch and put a time of perhaps 11:50 on that day. Then on Wednesday at 11:50, an Alarm would sound and "Lunch with Bob" would scroll across the screen, letting you know that you had to meet him in 10 mins. Very helpful!
Also has a daily alarm, timer, stopwatch, and of course the calculator.
The downsides are the fact that it has the old style light (due to the fact that it is an older watch) instead of the Illuminator technology. It also only has one daily alarm. Newer digital watches let you set multiple alarms for daily, weekday, or weekend use. Again this is because this is an older model watch. At the price Amazon is asking for this model, you can't beat it. I bought this one for nostalgic reasons, but I may go ahead and pick up a newer model as well.

I have been using this type of watch of over 10 years. They are reliable. Only a lot of functions have been replaced by cell phone. The problem with this watch is the wrist bank breaks after 1 year or 2.

I've worn this style of Casio watches for many years. This style is the more compatible with the feminine wrist size. I work in a job in which I use all the watch functions. I need it so much that I bought two because I tend to scratch up the crystal. The keys are flush with the crystal and can't snag on sweaters. This makes for a smooth feel and sleeker look. I use the alarm clock every day and it is loud enough to wake me. The functions are easy to set and the light is bright. I feel naked if I go out the door without it.

I had this watches for a long time. Really, really nice, slim and stylish.
The only concern is about light. It doesn't cover the whole area of the dial.

Bought this watch to replace another Casio of higher value that broke. Did buy the cheaper one since I do not use all the Telememo and Phone functions in the replaced one. Watch major drawback is the night light illumination. It is very faint and illuminates only from the left side of the dial making reading of the minutes very difficult...would not recommend for this shortfall.

This is a good basic watch that can hold quite a bit of info, like phone numbers. But it is not up to the same standard as some of the more expensive Casio databank watches. I use this one while playing sports and it's just the thing. This watch would be good for a kid, too.

I had this watch many years ago, and I'm happy to have just purchased another. When the battery in the old one ran out (4 yrs), I was given a different model as a gift, and I was less impressed. I'm glad the casing cracked, and I had a good reason to get my old watch back!
This watch is one of the slimmest profile data memo watches I've seen out there--half as thick as the one I just got rid of. The battery life is great, the display is easy to read, the adjust button isn't exposed like many others these days. And the feature I like the most is the on-screen two-week calendar with scrolling alert feature. This is strangely a rarer feature in data memo watches, and it's the one I miss the most. Small bars appear in the calendar boxes, notifying me of impending scheduled events, and when an alarm goes off, the scrolling message reminds me of what I needed to remind myself! Honestly, I can't believe that feature isn't standard on every watch that features up to 50 programmable alarms!
One draw-back. No indeglow, or whatever they call it now. The screen is *much* harder to read at night due to the small light inside. But I'm not willing to trade the size, the style, and the alarm feature for a better light. This is my favorite watch.
