I've had one of these in the past (purchased 1995) and I finally fouled something up when replacing the battery. Until then I never realized how much I depend on it.

Customer Buzz
I've come to depend on this watch for keeping track of appointments and phone numbers. The world time function is also great for travelers who like to know what time it is both where they are and at their destination.

I have owned this model for several years and am on my 3rd watch. I especially use the calendar scheduling mode to help me remember meetings. The other watches quit after 3 or 4 years. I had given up purchasing the same model because of the price increase. Since I wanted the scheduling mode, I was not interested in any of the models. This model was no longer available at the local department stores and the price at Casio on line was more than I was willing to pay. When I found it on Amazon, it was within my price range. I do find that the numbers and letters begin to wear off after a while, but not enough to make it impossible to read.

I've been using this databank model since the late 70's, when the memory was more limited, and you couldn't change the battery quick enough to save the data! I still hate entering the data, and now I have more of it! I find I get about 5 years from each watch before something goes. I use all the functions daily, except the stop watch. The present models allow me to get the battery changed and keep the data. My last watch went cookoo when I was at the equator last spring. I don't know if it was the humidity, or the polarization, but the functions quit. Eventually they all returned except the divide function, and I really missed it. Got another databank. I am a female with a 5 3/4" inch wrist and find the resin bands work great for me. Only had one incident where the band broke. Would love for Casio to come out with colored resins in this model, also computer interface for data, and while I'm fantasizing, how about a "build your own functions" model where I can get GPS, foreign language and a host of other needs! I picked up a colored databank multi-lingual in Singapore (I haven't seen them offered in the USA), but I don't want to travel with multi watches. I keep watching the line, looking for the next best thing!

I have used Casio Databank/calculator/phonebank watches for over fifteen years, and keep going back to find one of the style like this one. I tried the new digital/analog displays with phone bank, but my eyes aren't what they used to be, and was not satisfied with how hard it was to read in the night. This one is better, but still hard for me to see, since my arm isn't as long as my focal length, I guess. Plus, it is almost a two-handed operation to check time at night.

Databank, alarm, and phonebank functions are pretty much the same as they used to be. But I find these raised buttons even harder to use than the flat-surface ones my previous watch employed. That is unnecessary to be so difficult to enter keystrokes with confidence, and it makes paging through the phone bank unnecessarily difficult.

An interface to save/load data from a small keyboard, or preferably, from a computer would be nice, and make the project of changing to a new watch a whole lot easier. This watch will probably satisfy my needs for the next ten years, like my previous casio did. So in short, it did what I wanted it to do, was easier to read than the previous watch, in low light, and the only downside was how difficult it is to key in data using those stubborn buttons. So feel free to order one with the option to return, if you find those details telling enough to send you looking elsewhere. But I decided to keep mine.

Good watch. Light is very nice. Buttons are smaller and harder to push than the cheaper models.

Customer Buzz
Pretty cool watch....BUT for those of us over 45 with presbyopia the numbers and letters are unreadable without a magnification lens.

Customer Buzz
I've always liked casio calculator watches and had them since 1983. This is by far the best model. It is the perfect nerd watch. It has everything you can possibly want from a watch. Super reliable. Had it for 2 years now. Non of the numbers had worn off and I work at a factory getting it dirty everyday. Strongly recommend it.

Customer Buzz
Had the metallic version for many years before the case broke irretrievably. It proved very practical, beyond just telling the time. Difficult to now get that version at a reasonable price - and the case/strap tends to fray cuffs.
The resin version is a bit less elegant .............
