This analog/digital casio G-Shock Street Rider men's digital sport watch (model G300-2AV) is a great companion for jogging and biking through urban terrain. Large and in charge (with a 45.55mm width, or 1.76 inches), this shock resistant watch will withstand virtually any punishment you can mete out. It will also stand up to the rigors of recreational scuba diving, with water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet). It includes a 1/100-second stopwatch with a 60-minute measuring capacity and elapsed time, split time, and 1st/2nd place time modes as well as a 24-hour countdown timer.

This watch has a round, durable black resin case that's accented by a silver top ring, blue dial (with luminous hands), and a stylish black resin strap. It offers such timekeeping functions as 12/24-hour formats, year/month/date/day display (with an autocalendar to the year 2099), daylight savings time on/off, and world time from 29 time zones/27 cities (with city code display). It has four independent daily alarms (with one snooze alarm) and an optional hourly time signal. Other features include a scratch-resistant mineral crystal, AfterGlow LED electro-luminescent backlight, and battery life of up to 3 years.

This is a very comfortable and affordable watch that is made to last. I bought this watch based on the looks, which I think are quite good for a G-shock. The display is clean and easily read in many conditions and the backlight works well. There are a couple of complaints, first there are the buttons that make the hands move. For some reason I can get the hands to move forward but not backward, maybe this is a flaw I don't know because I have never owned a ana-digital Casio. Although the backlight works, doesn't make sense. Another part is actually having lume on the hands, what is the point? Basically you won't be able to see it in the dark if you didn't have a backlight for the digital display you wouldn't be able to tell time. These are small problems however as the watch is very comfortable and has a good price. I do recommend this watch as I am quite happy with the way it wears on the wrist.


I love this watch.... I use it mostly for work and it can sure take a beating. The time zones features are great, and it has other useful features. Very light, and it isn't nearly as bulky as some of the other casio watches.

The things I don't like: The cities listed are somewhat not what you would expect for some of the European countries (with the time zone feature). For someone who travels extensively, you have to be thinking. You also have no short cut for your home city like my other watch with world time zones. A lot of the cities I travel to aren't listed, so you have to look at the time difference or make sure the city listed is in the zone you want...The timer only counts down from an hour, in my job I need to keep track of flight times so we know how long until landing, so that is useless. On the other hand you can use the timer alarm and easy resets for working out..... My biggest dissapointment was with the strap replacements. I had to go to Germany to find an actual velcro strap to replace the rubber one that was scratching the inside of my wrist. I cannot believe that in this day and age when everyone can customize almost every item purchased online, I had such a hard time with that.

All in all, I am very happy with the purchase, but it took a while of getting it exactly how I wanted it. Plus the fact that the analog and digital times are synchronized is really nice..... Good luck!
