Casio Men's Forester Sports Thermometer Watch #AQF100WD-9BV
Product Description
The high-performance Forester Watch #AQF100WD-9BV from casio is so much more than a mere timepiece: it's a source of vital information for hiking, working out, traveling, or simply making your way to work. Offering a temperature tendency graph, auto-calendar pre-programmed until the year 2099, and 1/100-second stopwatch with the capacity to measure elapsed time, split time, and first and second place time, this rugged accessory keeps you organized and in control. There's also a daily alarm, world time for 30 time zones (50 cities), and an auto electro-luminescent backlight with afterglow. Water resistant to 330 feet, this sleek stainless steel watch boasts the precision of quartz movement for optimum reliability. This watch is protected by a one-year manufacturer's warranty. This watch has everything I could ever want in a watch ... problems include the fact that the thermometer registers a higher temperature than ambient as it does not compensate for the warmth of the wrist. You have to take it off for a while to register an environmental temperature. This particular watch has no scratchproof glass. Worst of all, it is very difficult to adjust the time and some of the other controls - it has no simple time setting screw knob like most simpler watches. Without the instructions, you'd be lost in setting the time. However once set, it works after getting wet, indicates moon phase accurately and also shows time in at least two places, one for where you are and one for any adopted country. Casio or the competition, please improve the watch setting features. No other brand does a moon phase dual time watch as economical as this.
I knew what I wanted & found it easily. The price was better than competitive. It was easy to purchase it. It came in a timely fashion. My credit card was charged correctly. On the whole it was a good experience. I would use this vendor again - anytime!!

I like the watch at first. Temp. feature is miss leading and is only accurate if you remove the watch. Your own body heat effects the temperature reading (dah).
However, after 3 month the watch died. It felt like I was just renting the watch.
The watch comes with fully loaded functions varying from built-in thermometer to calculation of tidal & moon phase. It has stopwatch, timer, auto-light feature, DST settings, world time, alarm, drop sensor, water resistant (10 bars), green electro-luminescence, metal strap and digital/analog feature and lots of others.
I bought this watch for my husband less than 6 months ago as a gift. Initially we were both thrilled with all the cool features and the very cool look of the watch. When it came down to wearing it, it doesn't stand up. The face scratched the first day and after several weeks he was worried about scratching it up and stopped wearing it. His work is not a rough job, he's a pilot. A week ago, the plastic piece they hide between the metal front and the back of the case broke, mind you he was just sitting at home on the couch, and CASIO refuses to warranty it because he lost the receipt. This watch is crap, unless you only plan to wear it once. Don't waste your money.
Recieved as stated. The watch is super, when going thru the digital features, i.e; temp, alarm, world time and other features, the analog dials reflected the current time always, this is the greatest feature I like. The watch, band and all of the features under the glass has the look. The watch reflects it is resistance to 100 meters, will find out this summer, but it worked great while out in the rain. Setup features were easy for me once you get the hang of it, it took a few trys to set up the world time, and when Daylight Savings time kicked in, it worked, including changing from 2006 to 2007. Again - Hats off to Casio, another great time piece.
This is a nice, good looking and sturdy watch. Features like world time, automatic backlight and the analog+digital features make it a worthwhile buy. The thermometer is very accurate (once you calibrate it to your body temp). The strap however although it is very well made, has big links which make it somehow difficult to adjust to some wrists (because it can get too tight or too loose). Not a big deal though.
Casio is very good when it comes to watches.I loved this watch.its worth its price.
For $59 you can't go wrong. The overall quality of the watch seems high and the watch has a very substantial feel to it. As far as features go, you couldn't want more. The moon phase and tide indicators don't serve any real purpose other than to give you some cool stuff to look at on the watch. The thermometer is kind of neat but it will definitely need to be calibrated if you want a meaningful temp reading while wearing the watch. My experience with Casio watches has always been good and this one looks like it won't let me down.
