Casio Men's Ana-Digi Alarm Chronograph Dive Watch #AMW320D-9EV

Product Description

Stylish enough for the boardroom but rugged enough for the wakeboard, the casio Marine stainless steel analog-digital watch for men (model AMW320D-9EV) combines the timeless look of an analog watch with the functionality of a digital watch. This analog digital combination allows you to see up to 2 times or the date with day of the week. The round silver stainless steel case measures 40mm wide, and it's complemented by a black resin sports strap. The inner rim of the bezel provides an Arabic numeral readout with small minute indexes, and the gold face includes luminous hour markers, oversized luminous hands (with seconds hand), and a digital window above the 6 o'clock mark.

Timekeeping features include dual time, a daily alarm, auto calendar, and a 1/100-second stopwatch with a 24-hour capacity. Other features include a ±30-second accuracy per month, scratch-resistant mineral crystal, and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet)--offering protection from accidental splashes as well suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and light recreational diving.

This is a classic timepiece.

They've been making this model for longer than I've been alive (31).

It's a great, tough, everyday wear watch.

You could pay 20 times more for an Omega (I do own a Seamaster--and love it) but why?

Funny thing is that I've actually gotten compliments on this bad boy, who knew?

This thing is virtually indestructible, and if it does destruct--you're only out $75

The only shortfall of this watch that I know of so far is the lack of a light to see at night, the glow in the dark hands work well if there is a little light, but otherwise, you're out of luck to see the time in the dead of night.
Otherwise, nice and sturdy watch.

Looks a lot more expensive than it is- well worth the price. The gold face is quite attractive and distinctive. Keeps good time. I use it as a beater watch- if something happens to it I'm not going to be out $300 dollars. The digital functions are useful without the LCD being too noticable- stopwatch, calendar, etc.

The only negative is the bezel- its not as tight fitting as more expensive watches, and its not unidirectional so i wouldn't actually use it for diving.

One other thing to consider- Amazon frequently has watch specials with brands like Invicta or Seiko. Under these specials you can get better watches for about $60-100. They won't have the functions of this watch, but will be higher quality and last longer.

After 10 years of really rough activity including surviving a falling tree incident (don't ask)and salt water contact (I live on Cape Cod)I can say unequivocally that this is one tough mother. What's not to like? Looks cool (if you like big and macho), super accurate, good features and of course, cheap. Nothing is perfect, naturally, nor is this watch: (1) plastic wrist band is utterly disposable--but cheap to replace; (2) luminosity quickly fades. After about six months I could expect about 30 minutes of nighttime readability. Some reviews praise this feature so perhaps new editions have better glow stuff; (3) one or both buttons will eventually stick from sweat and general grunge. Fix? Small amount of silicone lube, then work the button for a while. Hopefully the lube will not attack the button seals; (4)alarm not loud enough to wake me and I'm a light sleeper.

Looks and feels like a watch many times its price. I receive many compliments. Very classy timepiece.

The watch has gone on over 100 deep water dives (down to 120'). Due to the saltwater use, I find that I have to replace the rubber watchband every year or two (bands can be found at Wallmart, Target, etc.). I change my own batteries. The watch tool to open the rear costs $10 and is well worth it. I lightly lube the rubber seal with oil before replacing the back. The watch is still watertight. Mine is now a bit banged up as I never take it off (used while repairing cars, surfing, household chores, etc.) It still keeps great time, but I'm considering purchasing a new one as my crystal has a few scratches and I'm afraid that Casio my discontinue this model after all these years.

I keep the analog watch set to EST and the digital to GMT (as I have friends in the UK).

Bought my first over twenty years ago. Took a very long time to kill it, including many hundreds of dives. Lost it's successor while boogie boarding last week and really didn't expect to find a replacement. Looked for another watch with the same elegance, simplicity, toughness, and multiple functions (I use every one), but just wasn't seeing it in any other model. I was excited to find my third one on Amazon and delighted when it arrived. Pleased not just for the return of what has become a natural extension of my arm - but also because the workmanship is even better, including a more luminescent dial (brighter, holds light longer) and a bezel action that's smoother and tighter than ever.

I have had my watch for about 4 years now and I love the way that it looks and its functionality. It has most features that you might want, BUT...
1. The strap DOES come off fairly easily. This isn't usually a problem, but I worry about it when I am in the water. It has come off inadvertently about three times since I have had the watch.
2. The dial is not very easy to see at night or in low light.
3. The original strap broke, and I replaced it with one that I bought at the mall. Most non-metal watch bands seem to be this cheap plastic that eventually will break. I would love to have an actual Neoprene strap instead of the cheap plastic ones that are so common.
Aside from those issues, I have really enjoyed the watch both for its looks and functionality. The yellow dial looks really sharp when you are wearing navy, green, or yellow. The alarm, stopwatch and dual time functions are very useful. I also like the rotating bezel for timing things quickly and easily. I was glad to read the review that said that the reviewer had actually used it for diving to 90 feet. Even if a watch is water resistant to 100 meters, it may not be designed for the pressure changes involved in diving, so that figure can be misleading.

I bought this watch in 1995 before going to Panama on a 3-yr military tour. Over 12 1/2 years, I put over 600 dives on it, including recreational, crime scene investigation, and many recovery dives including in highly contaminated waters. I replaced the battery maybe three times. I wore this watch daily and beat the heck out of it, replacing only the battery and the band. I finally even put a stainless steel band on it to make it look a little more "civilized." True, during its last 6 months or so, it started to stop for a few minutes once in a while. I hate the fact that I left it in the shower at the beach last month. I've now found a place to buy a replacement, even though it won't have the sentimental value...
