I had a watch of the same brand/type and was replacing it. Received the package 1 day before expected. Great.


It is a great sports watch for work and sporting activities. The only thing wrong with this watch is the watch band. When the band cracks up and it gets dirty, it breaks and you are so sad you need another watch band. There is no other way you can purchase another one. You go online to many different websites and they have other watch bands except yours. You can go to Wal-Mart or Target and they have their different watch bands you can purchase, but still you are sunk without a new watch band. I ended up purchasing this watch and wearing only to very important functions. Just wear your watch and wear it sparingly.


Watch is easy to use. But it always helps to read the instructions as you go along. At night, push the button and you can read the time day and date. So easy.


This watch took a BEATING..it still works i have it in my workshed right now just to tell the time as i never wear a watch when in there. Im not joking this watch has been slammed bashed and constantly in and out of water it still functions perfectly...10 year battery and i have no doubts becuase i bought this watch 7 years ago and its still going strong.

HOWEVER THE BAND IS HORRIFIC...i am amazedi got about 6 years out of the band...i suppose thats some kind of a record. I would have gotten a new band for it...but nobody carries one..

just cannot be replaced.

So i have to give it 2 stars due to the band not being replaceable ..on a watch that is desigend to last this long...you should make the band able to endure just as long.


This Casio is a very inexpensive watch that lacks the features I was looking for (my own fault).

Pros: The good news is that it keeps time.
It features dual time, a stopwatch with the usual lap timer, will light up at the push of a botton and has an alarm.

Cons: Plastic band that is non replacable unless maybe you can order one from Casio. So if it breaks, replace the watch. The alarm is useless unless you are in a very quite environment.
It does not have a countdown alarm which was a feature I was looking for.
That was my fault however.
In my defense of stupidity I have found that most watches on the market today do not include this feature in their discriptions but is an included feature.
All in all, if you just want a inexpensive watch to wear to work, this will work.


Bought the first time about five or six years ago as a backup watch and loved it ever since. Great face, time, date, alarm, and even the day of the week which was great to have considering I worked a schedule that was a seven day a week job. The only problem you are going to have with it is the band is going to go way before the watch does and there is no way of replacing it, I just keep replacing the watch two at a time. It's even pretty good looking with a low profile. Cant be beat for the price, best value out there.


This watch is excellent for most purposes. All it really lacks is a countdown timer.


This is a very nice watch. Large, easy to read time digits (about 7mm). 10 year battery. Date, day of the week and seconds always displayed. Backlight is old-school LED and *not* Indiglo blue. And very accurate to boot! A completely satisfactory, basic, economical, digital watch.

So then why only 3 stars?

The watchband. Its made of plastic (Casio calls it "resin"). Mine broke after a year and a half. The constant flexing back and forth causes the plastic to crease and then disintegrate at the point where it bends.

The watch has non-standard fittings for its band. The only way to replace the band is to buy an identical one from Casio. And that costs almost as much as the watch! Granted, that's not very much and you could almost look at this watch as a disposable, to be replaced every 18 months, but it annoys me that it could easily keep on going for *years* were it not for the crummy band.

Prior to writing this review, I pulled mine out of the "junk" drawer where it went 3 years ago when the band fell apart. It has lost a total of just 17 seconds in that time! If you buy one of these, I recommend you try to extend the band's life by treating it very gently when you put the watch on your wrist and take it off. It's the pulling of the "tongue" of the band all the way back to engage or disengage the pin into one of the band's holes that will ultimately destroy it.

One last thing - Amazon has half a dozen different listings for this watch and the W96H1BV which is almost identical. Make sure you do a search in Watches and Jewelry for W96H1* (don't forget the *) to see all the prices and all the reviews.


As a stopwatch and dual time watch, this product is good value for money. It is light, feels durable, and the 10 year battery life a plus. But designing it with a 10 year battery life in mind, may be the reason why the alarm clock is terrible. It chirps lightly 5 or 6 times then quits. Turning on the snooze feature will make the watch try and wake you up again a few minutes after it quit chirping the first time, but its just too quiet. Overall, the solid feel and the large typeface make this watch a good buy for a casual runner or cycler that needs something basic yet durable.


I love this watch! it's easy to use and the numbers are easy to see.
The only thing I didn't like is because the dysplay is not made of glass is a kind of resin instead which is easy to scratch.
