Customer Buzz
Too bad, too because EVERYTHING else about this watch is superb. Too bad there is no option (searched the manual) for some way to set the tone to some lower pitched, or perhaps louder. We returned the watch for this reason. Younger? Have good ears? Then go for it.

Customer Buzz
Casio Women's Baby-G Clear Jelly Shock Resistant Sports Watch #BG169-7V Excellent watch for the wife Small enough and can stay on all day. looks good in almost any setting.

Customer Buzz
My daughter loves this watch. It is very cool and sporty. It is a great value for the price. The color is awsome and the size is just right.

Customer Buzz
The watch is attractive but buttons are not easy to select in the dark. I have small wrists, but can only buckle on the first slot.

Customer Buzz
First I would like to thank the previous reviewer. Her comment about the wrist band size sold me. I have skinny wrists and always have a problem with watch bands. I have had one of the regular Baby-G watches. Don't get me wrong, it's a great watch, but on me it's so big it looks silly. This Baby-G is perfect. The time is a little harder to see in some light situations, but all in all, it's a great watch and actually fits without looking like I'm wearing a man's watch.

Casio Men's Analog Reverse Bezel Sport Dive Watch #MDV501-9AV

Product Description

Featuring three subdials and luminous hands over an orange dial, this diver-inspired watch by casio is a must-have for water sport enthusiasts. Constructed from stainless-steel and protected with a mineral dial window and screw-in cap, the 43-millimeter case is water resistant to a depth of 660 feet. It also boasts a unidirectional, anti-reverse bezel, day display, and one-second stopwatch.

Customer Buzz
One star review almost steered me away but having had several Casio watches over the years I couldn't believe the quality would be that poor. Turns out watch has a "screw in" stem. This keeps it water proof and works fine. Watch is really eye catching. I bought it to wear on a cruise where I would be participating in lots of water sports with my kids. I had no less than four people ask me for the time. For fifty bucks, it's a winner.

Customer Buzz
After a week of wearing it the time was not being kept, my boyfriend had to change time several times a day. With all the time changes the stem is now broke... it will not go back in and time will not run because of this. VERY disappointed in this watch, VERY!

Stand-out indexes and a subtle ring of Arabic numerals adorn the face, while a handy digital display allows a dual-time capability or day-date-and-month calendar. The stationary bezel is made of high-quality resin and stainless steel, and other details include a 33-millimeter resin case and black resin band, which comes accompanied by a secure buckle closure. Soon to become your daily favorite, this elegant accessory brings a fresh finish to your look. This watch is powered by quartz movement and is water resistant to 165 feet.

Customer Buzz
Without bells and whistles, it is built up on a cool, discrete fashion, and surprisingly well built. And whats more, keeps accurate along the way. Why pay [...] for a fancy watch, when this one costs about [...] dollars? Great job from Casio, once more.

Customer Buzz
this watch is just great .low price , the only problem that it has no light. except that its great. thanks amazon - the best website to buy things.

Customer Buzz
Good looking watch with basic functions for reasonable price (paid $15+shipping). I bought it as a second watch for outdoors (fishing, cycling). Works just fine for me! Only consideration is an easy scratchable glass face. Also it would be nice to have a light option. Wristlet is plastic and not very comfortable but OK. Anyways I liked the watch so much that now I'm wearing it every day.
Good watch for good price!

Customer Buzz
Really nice watch and fantastic features
Analog/digital time
Calendar
Alarm
Dual Time mode
Stopwatch
All of this for just about $15
It's EXTREMELY light and thin
The wrist strap is very slim and fits great.

Cons-
The area where the strap attaches to the face of the watch feels very weak and flimsy.
The way to change the Analog time is very weird and time consuming. On the right side of the watch has a "hidden" button.
When you slightly tap it, the minute hand moves 1 minute and when you hold down on it it SLOWLY changes time.
My problem with this is when you accidentally hit the button, you have to hold it down for at least 5-8 minutes to bring the time back to normal >_<
Such a pain

But nice watch overall.

Customer Buzz
Right after receiving this watch I found the Indiglo by Timex at a local sports store for $4.00 more, with many more features, lights up, and it looks a millon times better. The design of this Casio also looks cheap, I was disapointed. Not worth the money.

Casio Men's G-Shock Solar Atomic Watch #GW700A-1V

Product Description

The perfect training partner for your active sporting lifestyle, this casio G-Shock men's digital sport watch (model GW700A-1V) offers a black resin case that's accented by a silver top ring and light digital gray display as well as a black resin strap. It's also solar-powered and wirelessly receives atomic time updates. It offers a 1/100-second stopwatch with a 60-minute measuring capacity and a time recorder with up to 30 records, It also features four independent daily alarms (with one snooze alarm), world time from 30 cities, and an autocalendar (to the year 2039). And because it's solar-powered--charging in either sunlight or indoor light--you'll never have to deal with changing the battery. Other features include a scratch-resistant mineral crystal, AfterGlow LED electro-luminescent backlight, and water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet)--suitable for recreational scuba diving.

This radio-controlled watch receives a time calibration signal transmitted from Fort Collins, Colorado, and signal reception is possible within a radius of about 2,000 miles from the Fort Collins transmitter. You can choose to automatically receive this signal four times a day, or manually update the watch to the atomic clock.

Customer Buzz
This is a basically good watch, but be sure to save your receipt. Mine is out of warrenty anyway, but the stopwatch function button has cracked in half and the repair charge estimate from Casio is $50. The positives stated by others are legit. But you have to wonder about "G-Shock" durability or at least the basic design. I have no idea how it broke, just that at some point the button broke in two and then fell off! Not too useful since as a runner I use the stopwatch function almost daily. There may be better model choices as I think the concept is still reasonable.

Customer Buzz
I bought this watch around a year and a half ago. After about a year the battery would not hold a charge all day. By evening the watch blanked out and stayed that way until given several hours of bright light or sun. The back light started coming on by itself as well when the watch was moved. So the watch is good until it stops working.

Customer Buzz
It's great to be able to buy a super-accurate watch at an affordable price without the illustrious name(s) of Rolex or Omega attached to it.

Customer Buzz
I like this watch, but it's not perfect. The tough solar and atomic functions work great. Although it has 5 alarms (4 and a snooze alarm), it doesn't have a countdown alarm.

My previous solar-powered G-shock only lasted 6 years before the battery died. Is that the 'lifetime' of the product, as the tough-solar claims? It was not easy to find a replacement battery for that older watch, and I've heard that water resistance often fails after opening the watch up to replace the battery. You're supposed to change out the rubber seals inside every few years too, but that doesn't appear easy or plausible. It's not like there's anyplace online where you could buy them, for example.

For a G-shock this watch is actually fairly small, but compared to most watches it is indeed bulky. It's smaller than my last watch so I like that.

The backlight on this watch is fantastic. It also grabs an atomic signal several times during the night instead of once, making it much more reliable than previous versions.

Customer Buzz
I bought this G-Shock to replace my (still running!) 15 year old G-Shock watch. While the old unit still runs, I found that the protective rubber that encases the electronics of the watch was starting to fall apart, so the watch is essentially exposed now. It still looks like it could take a beating, but there are exposed metal rivets that keep on snagging on things. Those rivets tend to get caught in your sleeves and will start to tear the fabric over repeated wearings, so I finally gave in, and bought this new model.
Of course the new model is just as G-Shock tough as my old unit, and I'd expect no less. But in the world of electronics, 15 years is a long time, and this new watch eclipses the old one with it's new features.
First, the solar charging is awesome. You can put it out in the sun for about 10 minutes, and that charge is long enough to last a week. Keep in mind when you first get it, you'll probably need to charge it for a bit longer though, probably 45 minutes to an hour.
Even better, this thing synchronizes with the atomic clock in Colorado (forgot the name, the main amazon product page has it though) so it's super accurate. The synchronization is the reason that you have to keep this unit fully charged, though. To preserve battery life, once the battery reaches 50% capacity or less, it will no longer attempt to synch. With my old watch, I always knew that it the time wasn't 100% accurate, and I took the time it indicated with a grain of salt. With this guy, when I look at the time, I know that it's right to within millisconds.
There are a lot of neat other features that this watch has that the old one didn't have as well. For instance, you can set the backlight to automatically light up, depending on the angle of your wrist, without having to press a button. More gimmicky than necessary, but it's fun to show off to friends.
All in all, for the price of the purchase, the watch is well worth it, especially considering that I expect it to last me at least as long as my old G-Shock watch!

Customer Buzz
I'm buying 3 more, one for each of my boys. After getting this watch I stopped wearing my Rolex... It just wasn't accurate enough. Put this watch on, forget about it, and you will always have the exact time....What could be better?

Customer Buzz
I have an inexpensive Casio watch that is 18yrs. old.It still has the original battery. This is the top of the line to me.G Shock is simply the best. I am 64yrs. old and this watch will outlast me.If you are looking for an accurate, unbreakable and watch that you don't worry about, this is the one.Glad i bought it

Customer Buzz
Forget the complaints about the size and the reliability. It is very reliable and I like it much better than the Citizen Eco-Drive watch I bought a few months prior. The display is very easy to read and has a number of features that I find useful. I traditionally buy analog watches but decided to try a digital watch. So far I am very pleased. The battery life has beeen fine but I am not one to turn the light on every 5 seconds so that is probably why I have not had any trouble. I highly recommend this watch for those who want an attractive, durable watch.

Customer Buzz
I've only had this watch for a few weeks, so I can't really evaluate the battery life, which is my biggest concern. But so far, this watch is great. The display is easy to read, and (most of) the functions are easy to figure out (especially if you've had a g-shock before). I love the the watch's ability to receive a signal that sets the time automatically. The alarm and stopwatch functions are pretty typical, but I've got no complaints about them. I like the light button, which is different from the g-shock I had 15 years ago. I'm not so sure about the time recorder function, but can't really offer an opinion because I haven't spent any time playing around with it yet. Over the long term, I am skeptical about the solar-charged battery, but Casio seems to claim that battery charge will not be an issue for anyone other than permanent cave-dwellers. This is a pretty big watch (although it does not seem terribly heavy), so be prepared to have a lot of plastic and metal sitting on top of your wrist. I would never pay the $125 (or so) retail price for this watch, but for the $50 "sale" price I am very happy with this watch.

Customer Buzz
After some research (including reading these reviews) I decided to replace my Timex expedition after I had to replace the battery for about the 5th time (OK, I've had it for a while). Wanted solar, the Atomic setting function was a plus, but I wasn't sure how well it would work in northern New England. Got it on Amazon and then 2 weeks later they dropped the price $17 - but they graciously refunded me the difference so I was impressed not only with the watch, but how Amazon handled my transaction - after the fact.

Pro: Solid, well built, accurate - yes, it does sync with the Colorado Springs signal if I leave it in the window as the instructions describe. It came fully charged and I've left it in the sun a few times since and the battery meter hasn't budged. Has more features than I'll use - Haven't thought of a great use of the time recording function yet. Auto backlight is cool and handy if you don't have an extra hand to push the light button.

Con: It is large and a bit heavy, but as one reviewer said, you do get used to it after a couple of days. Wish the backlight would stay on just a bit longer - I know it's to save the battery, but I'd gladly charge it more often to keep the light on an extra second or two.

Presenting a sporty design, this functional timepiece encourages your celestial fascinations. Powered by quartz movement, this watch is also water resistant to 330 feet.

Customer Buzz
Everything was easy to set up, and the multiple alarms help my husband keep his blood sugar under control. It has been a great product.

Customer Buzz
I bought this watch because it had the moon phase and tide graph, they work great, but aren't very useful here in Charlotte, NC.

The watch body is made of "resin" (plastic), so we can probably expect the watch pins to easily pull free.

Customer Buzz
title says it all. this watch is absolutley perfect. Im a cable guy so I bump and bang it around constantly with no probs. i only use it for the date / time, so all the tide features are useless to me.. i just love it cuz it looks sharp and keeps the time like a champ. i will be getting another the minute that i break this one.

BUT be prepared - if u buy this, u WILL have to go to a jewler to get it sized for you. they will take out a link or 2, but it only costs about 10 bucks.

Customer Buzz
You can't go wrong with Casio - good quality and design, excellent value for the price you pay.

Yes, other reviewers were right:
1. The light is not perfect, but acceptable.
2. Adjusting the high tide / low tide is a little tricky - but the final result will bring you in the ballpark. Once adjusted, the tide graph will not be 100% precise, but around +/- 1.5 h, that means: I got it to the point, where if it's chart shows high tide in the interval 11:00 - 13:00, I am confident (I've double-checked it against the company tide chart calendar) that the real high tide falls always for sure between 10:00 and 13:00. I imagine one can do a better job adjusting it and making it work even with higher precision. If you go not by the chart, but by the high tide time it displays, results will be much more precise.

Overall, I give it 4 stars.
ENJOY!

Customer Buzz
The setup of this watch is a hassle. absolute No-Go without the manual.
Maybe it's because we live in Germany and all examples are given for the States. I had to google for geografic locations, Tide times , ...

The light on this watch is a yellow LED. unfortunately very dimm. Would have liked a stylish blue one( lumibrite )

Overall more watch than you would expect for this little money.

Customer Buzz
Does as advertised. Good looking watch that is pretty durable for the $$. Tide functions are fairly accurate. Fairly comfortable for daily wear. Sharpish edges where the band meets the crown-but not dangerous. Had a similar Casio Tide watch last year-beat on it fishing, swimming, and working in the yard. I wore it for over a year-now my 4-tear old has it...still works.

Customer Buzz
Exactly as expected. Its a bit complicated to setup all the advanced features but once setup its great.

Customer Buzz
I love this watch, buy I haven't been able to get it synch'd to the salt water creek near my home.

Now that you know I love the watch, let me tell you some drawbacks. Unless you are familiar with the tide cycles, which I am not, you may have a hard time configuring this watch for your area. The instructions booklet has an extremely small font, about 4 point type. I'm not fond of the bracelet-type band, but could not find a stretch band to match this style. My jeweler was able to fit the band to my wrist, so I am getting used to this type band.

Why do I love it, well for the price it is very well made and functions very well. The time settings are easier to change than some similar and more expensive watches that I've had. And the tide graph is just cool.

Customer Buzz
This is a lot of watch for the price! It is attractive and strudy. The band appears to be stainless steel(is marked stainless steel on the buckle part). I bought this for my husband to replace a tide watch that wore out. He is an electronics guru, but still had difficulty setting the tide segment with the provided instructions. He also wishes the tide display was larger. Now that the watch is set and he has been wearing it, he likes it very much and was shocked when I told him how little it cost. Since he uses it on our boat, we will find out whether or not the entire band is stainless.

Customer Buzz
I bought this watch for my husband for Christmas and he shortened the band on one side as far as it would go, but we're still trying to figure out how to shorten the other side by at least one link. Other than that, it's a great watch with a great price. I sent an email to Chelsea Watch the company that sold it through Amazon & I've been waiting for 3 days for a reply.
