Casio Men's Waveceptor Atomic Digital Watch #WV58A-1AV

Customer Buzz
For the price, the watch looks to be a good deal. I've just had it a few days. It got the time from Ft. Collins even though it wasn't by a window. I like the overall look, feel, and functionality. However, on the AMZ page under Product Features it says that it's solar. I found it by search for Casio - atomic - solar and it popped up in that list. I think the product features must be boilerplate for a number of watches. I just didn't read the fine print. For $28 I'll keep it but I was looking forward to not worrying about battery replacement.

Customer Buzz
I bought this watch to replace a Casio G-Shock solar atomic watch whose rechargeable battery died after a few years. I figured this watch provides the same features at a much lower price, and I would only have to replace the battery rather than the watch every few years. So far, I am very impressed. The watch resembles the more expensive atomic tough solar watches, but is less bulky. My older G-Shock always seemed to stick out way too much. The only drawback is that the watchband and casing do not appear as durable as the G-Shock, but for the price I can't complain. I don't think I'll ever buy a non-atomic watch again.

The product description currently shows this watch as having "tough solar power" as a feature. That is incorrect. It does have the atomic set, time zones, timer, alarm, and stopwatch features though.

Customer Buzz
My old "atomic" watch died and I couldn't see how to replace the battery. I shopped several places for this watch and am quite happy with it. It keeps good time, was easy to set up, and it light weight on my wrist. Weaknesses include the integrated watch band -- poor, in my opinion. Just bumping around putting it on and off I occasionally lose my time zone and have to reset it. Over all, however, if it was not for the watch band I would give it a five star rating.

Customer Buzz
The Casio Waveceptor Atom Digital Watch Keeps good time.Changed itself to DST with no problem. It is worth the price.

Customer Buzz
I live in a Ft. Worth, Texas suburb and the time synchronization works great. The directions say to place the watch in a window at night in order for it to receive the radio signal. I place it in my bedroom closet with the door shut. It has never failed to synchronize in that location. Everything works on the watch and I like the way it looks, (at least I used to). Within two weeks of buying the watch, the crystal looks like it was used by a very busy mechanic for fifteen years. The complete face of the watch is scuffed and scratched. I was wearing the watch on a cruise which is not exactly rough usage. The "crystal" on this watch is not glass. It is hard plastic, but it is not nearly hard enough. I know this is not a G-shock, but I did not think it was a toy. Do yourself a favor and find a Waveceptor model with a real crystal.

Customer Buzz
This is a great watch which sets itself in the middle of the night from the radio time signal. The instructions tell you to leave it near a window away from metal objects.

It is not solar-powered, however, and I feel that the description is misleading in this respect. It runs on a lithium battery which needs replacing after about two years.

By the way, the UK time signal transmitter has been at Anthorn, not Rugby since April 2007.

Customer Buzz
bought this for hubby for xmas. he is very happy with this watch. it has large enough number where he can see the time well. and it updates the time by itself.
the only problem he has is his wrist is thick and sometimes changes the time certain eays he bends his wrist. he just put it on his other arm, now he has no problems. nice watch.

Customer Buzz
I got this watch from Walmart, after searching high and low for a watch that fit my criteria. It's thin enough; doesn't catch sleeves. It syncs well, but here's a tip for syncing: leave it on your arm at night. I live across the Sound from Seattle (a long way from the Ft. Collins transmitter), and the watch will not sync if it's on the windowsill. It will sync 9 out of 10 times though, if it's on my wrist while I sleep. Probably using the contact with my body as an antenna or something.

Anyway, it syncs well and is always well within the margin of error of time.gov, while my Timex is about 8 seconds off after only a couple of weeks. However, there are some details I don't like about it:

There's no night mode (hold in the light button on a Timex for 3 seconds, and any button press will light the backlight). Also, the light doesn't stay on as you're cycling through modes or pressing other buttons; it turns off as soon as you press another button. This makes setting an alarm at night difficult.

Also, the timer is limited to 60 minutes, in one-minute increments. Again, my Timex will do ten hours' countdown, and you can set it to count down two and a half minutes, etc.

I prefer a Velcro quick-wrap strap on these kinds of watches, however, it does not seem that I'll be able to use that type of strap on this watch, due to the design (the poles that hold the strap to the body are recessed somewhat). Might give it a try anyway, but it will be more difficult that it should be. The stock strap is fairly comfortable, but the VERY thin plastic latch doesn't make me think it will last long.

Finally, the watch face is not recessed. I find that a recessed face, if only a little, helps immensely in preventing scratches on the watch face, and keeps it readable for years longer.

One thing I do like about the design is that while in timer or stopwatch modes, the top portion (normally date) displays the current time.

Those are my few complaints about this watch. Overall, it's a good choice for an inexpensive atomic watch, just don't buy it if you use a lot of the other features frequently. If you don't mind resetting the watch for Daylight Savings (that's about how often you'd need to sync it to keep it accurate to within a minute or two), get an Ironman; they last forever and have a ton more features.

Here's hoping this watch lasts as long as my old Ironman did (four straps, two battery replacements and eleven years . . . until it was stolen).

Customer Buzz
This product has worked wonders for me, where i drive a bus with a time line, it has keep me on schedule

Customer Buzz
I now have 2 of these watches. The first on was with the "plastic/resin" type watch band. The watch got hung on something and there was a tug against the watch on my wrist. This separated the bad from the watch and I was able to put the two together again. However, the point where the metal pin is lodged on the frame of the watch was now damaged. It was cracked and beginning to break free from the rest of the watch body. This eventually completely failed and cannot be repaired by any glue or other means, rendering the wrist watch useless.

I consider this to be a design flaw since I have owned many Casio watches in the past. I could not recommend this form of the watch.

I have since paid about $10 more for the stainless steel version of this Casio watch. It holds up better with the kind of punishment I have just described. Indeed, the watch did get snagged on something and there are scratches and such on my watch but it is still holding together. I think the stainless steel version is what you should consider if you too may occasionally have your watch be snagged on some exterior item.

I like the features and ease of use. Works nicely for me.

Casio Men's Casual Sport Watch (W753-1AV)

Customer Buzz
For the money, can't beat the price and quality. Date is hard to read an certain angles.
Two things I would change. One, buttons protrude a bit to the point that when you bend your wrist the mode changes. Two, the light is a regular led. Seems a bit chinsy......but for $20.....it's still an excellent buy.

Customer Buzz
I just relocated to the beach and discovered I needed a tide clock. Bought this watch instead of a wall mounted tide clock and could not be happier because it is cheaper and I got moon phase and compass functions as a bonus. I can wear it too! I hardly ever use my "dress" watch anymore. The tide function takes some time and patience to set but well worth the learning curve.

Customer Buzz
I like this watch!
I mainly using the stop watch when I exercising, it is really useful.
Although the back light was kind of lousy, it didn't bother me that much.

Customer Buzz
I received this watch after reading the reviews and they were spot on.I wanted a watch to keep track of the tides and it does what it says. It is a rise and fall graph I set to the east coast where I am and I would say it is within 30 minutes of my local spot, close enough for me. The buttons from time to time get bumped and it switches modes but not a big deal reviews stated that. I was looking at the G-shock but for a 1/4 the price and with basic same features I am well pleased. I highly recommend this watch!

Customer Buzz
My husband loves this watch! It is great looking, has alot of great features and you can't beat the price!

Customer Buzz
What you see is what you get. When it comes to watches- specially sports watches- Casio is a very good quality brand. This sports watch is a very good value, you get cool design, good quality materials and some nice features (i.e Moon phase data) plus the ultra durable battery (10 years). If you are looking for a watch to time you training sessions this is the right purchase for the right amount of money. You can always go fancier but there is really no need as this watch has the key features to meet most of the needs of the semi-pro athlete.

Customer Buzz
This is my primary watch.

Nice simple controls, stop watch etc.
was confusing trying to figure out what to input for the lunar offset, NYC's lunar offset was not in the manual, Boston's was.
It is pretty solid, been smacked around alot and under water frequently. AOK.
Terrific for $19

Customer Buzz
This watch is great. The alarms and countdown timer are my favorite functions. Easy to use and set. Highly recommend this watch.

Customer Buzz
I really love the Timex Sports watches. I like the looks of this watch but found it a little confusing to set up and operate. It is not really user friendly. In defense of Timex, I replaced the W753-AV with a higher end Timex and love it. As For Amazon, no site better.

Customer Buzz
Obviously there are better watches out there but this is a pretty lightweight watch with a "normal" wristband that fits and holds the watch in place. The functions are limited including a very "old" type of watch light, a little light that comes from one corner...not your fancy type bright blue or green. It has limited functions compared to some other watches, but it serves the purpose and Casio has been making watches forever.

Good cheap product that will do what it says it will do.

Casio Men's Digital Compass Twin Sensor Sport Watch #SGW100-1V

Customer Buzz
...If you really want to buy a good camping watch PAG40-3V from Casio is the best.

Customer Buzz

Customer Buzz
I've had this watch for about a week now and I'm always fiddling w/ the different modes and functions. A great watch for the $$.

Customer Buzz
Good watch, is stylish, lightweight and the compass works excellent, too bad the termometer is affected by body temperature (for an accurate reading you will have to remove the watch and wait 30 minutes!!!), calibrating it is the solution for an approximate temperature reading, but the response time is incredibly slow (because of the watch casing, 30 minutes to read outside temperature). Still, good buy for the price and the quality of the product

Customer Buzz
The displays are great and easy to see in any conditions, and each mode is easy to manipulate. The temperature reading is a little inaccurate unless you remove the watch from your wrist and set it down for a time. The band is a bit stiff at first and can pull your arm hairs where it meets the watch. Everything is very easy to read and use on the watch and it is light and comfortable.

Casio Men's Digital Compass Twin Sensor Sport Watch #SGW100B-3V

Customer Buzz
Practico deportes acuaticos y el reloj funciona muy bien el compass es de buena calidad facil de usar y calibrar me gusta la correa tejida pues suda menos la muñeca

Customer Buzz
This is the second casio compass watch I have owned. Now, with the temp feature it is even more useful to me at work. It is simple to use, dependable, and a great deal for the price!

Customer Buzz
I received the watch kind of unprotected, and this is a rather delicate to ship item, it came with certain dust over it. I have read carefully the instructions manual, and is very easy to calibrate, but after doing that rigurously as the manual said, the readings of location and temperature desapear 10 seconds after they appear in the screen, and they do not show again so i have to reset the readings, I don't know why is that happening and i can not correct the defect.

The watch is really great and I like it a lot, but is very dissapointing that it does not work well...

Customer Buzz
This watch is great. It has lots of functionality that are very useful. Either for outdoor or indoor. The only thing that i less like on this watch is it's strap. When i see the image i taught that the strap is like rubber or somewhat like that but when i receive it already, it is not what i expect. I guess they should not just put the front image but also the whole watch itself. But in overall the watch looks great , durable , it's a good watch to buy.

Customer Buzz
Awesome product at resonable price. I bought it for compass and it has other good features as well. I love it.

Customer Buzz
This is my first compass watch. I was concerned that the compass would be difficult to use and calibrate. After receiving the watch I was easily able to use and calibrate the compass. A neat undocumeted feature of the watch is that the current time is displayed in all modes - world time (which also shows the name of the world time city selected), compass, stopwatch, countdown timer, and alarm. The digits are large and easy to read. The backlight illuminates the digits, not the whole watch face. The cloth band is very comfortable and looks sturdy and well made. All in all a very good value for the money.

Customer Buzz
I just received this watch and I love it. The temperature and digital compass are well withing the norm. I love it because I checked the accuracy and it is well within the norm

Customer Buzz

I've been using Casio products for years now, and I can't complain for their quality!
The SGW100B-3V is not an exception. It came without calibration nor syncronization, but doing it is a piece of cake.

For $50 or less your getting an amazing watch, that's going to last for many years, thats for sure.

Casio Men's Ana-Digi Edifice Thermometer Bracelet Watch #EFA119BK-1AV

Customer Buzz
Really cool watch... Nice digital background.

May be Casio should include more details in manual about how to take the extra links outs from the bracelet. I kinda figured that out in about 10 mins. Which could have been saved. no biggie!!!

Customer Buzz
A nice watch and it does what it says. I have seen some posts from others stating that temperature is not correct, hard to adjust settings, pulling hair out. Here is what i found. To have correct temperature it first needs to be calibrated. Temp shows at change of minute only, so got to wait until then. Steel belt appears to be heavy and being new for couple of days, it could pull some hairs but okaaay later once smoothen down. The black dial does not make digital readings very good but needs to use backlight most of the time. The steel belt was hard to adjust initially, but had found a good link on the web and then it was really easy. Overall, it's a good watch, multiple timings, world times, temperature etc. look good and does what it says.

Customer Buzz
I needed a work watch and came across this one. It's very durable and functional, ideal for what I was looking for.

Customer Buzz
It's a great value watch functionally as well as for money. Make a look of more expensive than it is. Looks sporty and still could be used when dressed up. The functions are all really cool. The thermometer works best when it's not on your wrist for obvious reasons and is comparatively accurate (still you got option to calibrate manually if you want). Great function of automatic backlight with just a bend of your wrist and it will automatically shut off that function after 6 hours (to save battery life). You can activate/deactivate the backlight anytime you want manually just by pressing button. It is not mentioned to adjust band in manual, however you could do that yourself just by using "Leaf Spring Coupled Type". On chain it is marked an arrow sign, those unit could be unassembled. Use tweezers to open bent cover then pull out Leaf spring, then remove link as many according to your wrist size (maximum 4 link from each side could be removed) then place link to open slot and insert leaf back to lock the link and at last press the unbent cover to lock projection of leaf spring After following this simple step you'll feel as this band is made just for your hand (read instruction at [...]Only drawback I found band design is not good as it pull out your wrist hairs a lot. Taken as a whole I am very much satisfied with my selection and I would recommend everyone who are looking for a good watch around ~53$. Go ahead and love it

Customer Buzz
This watch is really great, it is fully loaded with features, the auto-illuminate, world time, the thermometer can be calibrated for accuracy, good build quality. I recommend this watch

Customer Buzz
The Casio watch tells you the temperature besides all the other chronograph touches. It also tells you that it is "Low Tide in Honolulu".

Customer Buzz
I brought this watch because I want something that has alarm, timer, and I want something between analog and digital. I have a timer analog watch but it timing was not easy to read down to the second because of the analog hand. So I was looking for something with digital. First I though I was going to have to pay for more than $ 100 dollar for something like this. Then, I saw other 30 and 20 dollar Casio wrist watch with thermometer, I know I have to get one of those two watch. But when I look closely at those watch, I saw that their appearance tell their extract price. Then I saw this one for 50 Dollar and it does look like a hundred dollar watch.
For me, everything work perfectly, that included thermometer, I just had to calibrate as it written in the manual. First, all the buttons and setup really confused me but after I read manual and followed the instruction. It worked fine, after I change my UTC time zone to correct one, it even show my home town ,which is half way around the world in one of the most remote place, time correctly in WTC time.
I have a small hand so I had to take off 5 clips off the bracelet but it was easy and now it fit like it makes for my tiny wrist.
Work great for me.

Customer Buzz
I was looking for a world time watch, and this fit the bill without breaking the bank. Surprisingly I actually use the countdown and stopwatch (I didn't think I would). The reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 is that the word "intuitive" doesn't apply to the way the myriad of functions are set and modified. I would have given this 5 stars if it had a few less features- it's a great looking watch for work or casual wear.

Customer Buzz
I bought this watch about 2 months ago. I simply love its simple design incorporating so much into an easy format. I am a big fan of hybrid watches and this is one of the perfect example. Its real good value for money. I would recommend it to everyone i know.

Customer Buzz
2 problems. 1st, the digital display is very dim. Almost useless. 2nd, temp meter is not accurate. Cannot trust. I returned my order to Amazon.com.
